Writing Prompts for Personal Fitness (Fall Semester)

WP#1

WHAT ARE YOUR FITNESS GOALS? WHAT ARE YOUR HEALTH GOALS? WHAT STEPS WILL YOU TAKE TO ENSURE THAT THESE GOALS ARE MET? WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS FOR THIS CLASS? (PLEASE INCLUDE ANY SUGGESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE TO MAKE YOUR PERSONAL FITNESS EXPERIENCE MORE REWARDING)

WP#2

CHILDHOOD OBESITY IS A MAJOR DEPRESSING ISSUE NOT ONLY IN THE USA BUT ALL-AROUND THE WORLD. WHAT ARE SUGGESTIONS FOR COMBATING THIS PROBLEM? DO YOU THINK THAT PE SHOULD BE MANDATORY TO TAKE EVERY YEAR IN SCHOOL? GIVE YOUR PLAN OF ACTION (CONSIDER LAWS, PARENT INVOLVEMENT, ETC.)

WRITING PROMPT #3

WRITTEN REFLECTION ON THE STORY OF THE “HALF-TON KILLER”. PROVIDE YOUR THOUGHTS AND REACTION TO THE ENTIRE SITUATION….THE DEATH OF HER NEPHEW, HER HUSBAND’S LOYALTY, HER LACK OF MOTIVATION AND DEPRESSION, AND HER SISTER’S ABUSE OF HER CHILDREN.

WRITING PROMPT #4

PART 1: WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST FEAR IN LIFE?  EVERYONE HAS A CONCERN(S) PERTAINING TO LIFE. WHY DO YOU FEAR THIS/THESE THING(S)?

PART 2: IF YOU HAD THE OPPORTUNITY, WHAT WOULD YOU PUT IN A TIIME CAPSULE TO BE OPENED BY THE NEXT GENERATION?

WRITING PROMPT #5

USING THE INFORMATION THAT YOU HAVE LEARNED FROM CHAPTER 4 ON NUTRIENTS, START DEVELOPING YOUR EATING PLAN FOR A WEEK. YOUR PLAN SHOULD BE PUT INTO WORDS CONSIDERING THE NUTRIENTS THAT YOU NEED MORE OR LESS OF IN YOUR DIET, AND THE AMOUNT REQUIRED TO SUSTAIN THE NECESSARY ENERGY. CONSIDER THIS PROMPT TO BE THE START OF YOUR “FITNESS/WEIGHT DIARY”. WRITE TO YOURSELF TELLING YOURSELF WHAT YOU NEED TO DO AND NOT DO WHEN IT COMES TO EXERCISE AND FOOD CONSUMPTION.
