Please note that when you are viewing grades in Synergy that a blank grade column for your child has no effect on their grade.  If the space is blank, then your student may not have turned in that assignment due to absence or the teacher may not have entered grades for that assignment at that time.  An “X” means that the student is exempt from an assignment at the discretion of the teacher.

TEXTBOOK/SUPPLEMENTAL RESOURCES:
There will be a classroom set of textbooks. If you desire your own book, please see Mr. Tommy Perry to have one checked out to you.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Personal Fitness Dress:
The following policy outlines the standards of dress for all PHS Physical Education classes. The Cobb County School District Student Dress code will be enforced.

Medical Policy:

If the student has a medical condition, a Physician’s statement/note is required when a student needs to modify his/her participation due to medical reasons. These are the ONLY notes that will be honored. Notes need to outline when the student can return to participation and what type of physical activity can be completed during the time he/she is under medical care.

Short Term Medical – a written medical report abstract needs to be obtained from me. The report will detail information on what replacement activities or work is needed to receive credit / grade for the days missed due to the medical condition.

Extended Medical – may jeopardize credits needed for graduation and need to be handled through myself, student’s counselor, and physician recommendations.
